Grieving is as natural as crying when you are hurt, sleeping when you are tired, eating when you are hungry, or sneezing when your nose itches, It is nature’s way of healing a broken heart.
We offer grief support and education to individuals, families and organizations coping with death and bereavement. Our mission is to assist people in navigating their way through their grief journey, while helping them in reconstructing their lives with renewed hope and meaning.
What Is Grief?
Loss is an inevitable part of our lives; grief occurs in response to those losses. Whenever there is change, there is loss. The way we cope with loss and grief are key factors in our emotional well-being.
Grief is a normal response to life changing events; a natural process that leads to healing and growth. The more significant the loss is, the more intense the grief will be.
There are healthy coping mechanisms for dealing with grief and there are factors that hinder or delay the grieving process. Contrary to common beliefs, times does not heal all wounds. But if time is spend effectively in doing grief work and learning principles of educated grieving, we will be more able to continue our lives and open the joy that life offers us.
